2011 has seen Greenwich Peninsula welcome a host of fantastic new restaurants and stores to its central point, Peninsula Square.
It’s a great place to meet friends for dinner, a quick drink after work or have an ice cream pre-show at the O2.
As well as providing great amenities for residents and workers of Greenwich Peninsula, opening up new retail units here has driven local employment numbers up. Many of the staff at all the retail units are locals as these figures show -
• 36 out of 37 staff at Café Rouge are local residents
• 50% of Chiquito employees are locals
• 75% of Mangal Pharmacy staff are from Greenwich or Lewisham Boroughs
Greenwich Peninsula Regeneration Ltd. works alongside GLLaB (Greenwich Local Labour & Business) in creating work opportunities for local people.

GLLaB has helped many young people gain employment throughout the Peninsula, within the O2 and Peninsula Square restaurants, Wagamama and Chiquito.
