The Peninsula already has two major facilities for sports and leisure and as the Greenwich Peninsula community grows more sports and leisure facilities will be provided.
For sailing enthusiasts, the Greenwich Yacht Club at Peninsula Riverside runs a programme of yacht and dinghy races all year round.
The Greenwich Yacht Club offers a wide variety of yachting and educational activities. It was founded early in the 20th century by Thames sailors and now has over 400 members. The club was renovated in 1999 and benefits from a new clubhouse, classroom, boatyard, workshops and improved access to the river.
