Greenwich Peninsula Social Clubs Fund

The Greenwich Peninsula Social Clubs Fund has been established to increase community connections, improve health and wellbeing, and engage residents in the arts and cultural opportunities in the local area. The priorities of the fund are in line with Knight Dragon’s wider community engagement strategy.

Improved access to employment and training opportunities across the Peninsula

Active participation in the society and improvement in life skills

Improving health and wellbeing for all members of the Greenwich Peninsula community

Positive impact on the local environment

Make Greenwich Peninsula a safer space

Supporting the most vulnerable in the community

Who can apply?

Only residents living on the Greenwich Peninsula can apply for the funding. The funding is available for social clubs that are inclusive and open to all residents from all tenures. All funded projects will need to demonstrate the following:

Promote positive community spirit

Have a social benefit for the wider Greenwich Peninsula community

Clubs that are aimed at bringing people together to residents to improve social cohesion and increase connections between residents

Clubs that reduce loneliness

Clubs that teach a new skill or promote skills sharing

Residents can apply for funding to cover project activities, and staffing, running costs related to the project, as well as the purchase of any equipment you may need. Funds can be used to fund a whole project, or to pay for elements of a wider project. We can fund a mix of project activities, operating costs, organisational development, and capital costs.

How to apply?

To receive the funding, residents will need to fill out a short application form with the following information:

Name and address of resident leading the club

Overview of the social club activities and need for running the club

Proposal of how the club will be managed

Include a project budget and spending projection

Report back the total number of people engaged and the impact on the local community

All grants will be reviewed by a representative from the Knight Dragon and Greenwich Giving team. Please see below the deadline for the next round of funding:
