Riverside feasts at Turning Tides Festival

Be the first to experience London’s longest outdoor picnic table here on The Tide, London’s first-ever riverside linear park, opening this July on Greenwich Peninsula.

Enjoy a series of top-notch riverside feasts prepared by guest chefs including Stevie Parle as part of Turning Tides Festival. A new festival coming to London, it’ll feature a programme of music, art, film and wellness activities.

Studio Morison’s 27-metre ‘Seafood Disco’ picnic bench will be the setting for unparalleled dining experiences from Stevie Parle’s Pastaio, Matt Williamson, Disappearing Dining Club and Studio Morison with Berber & Q. Come and enjoy riverside picnics, a giant BBQ, seafood feasts and more, all along The Tide, London’s cultural linear park overlooking the Thames.

A BBQ with a difference by Studio Morison & Berber & Q

Saturday 6 July. £55. 13:30-15:00. The Jetty


Design duo Studio Morison host Berber & Q who bring their own style of flame-grilled meats, fish and vegetables in an eclectic Mediterranean menu you won’t want to miss. Wash it down with wine and a complementary digestif to finish.


Born in an old taxi shop, Berber & Q’s original mission was to discover the secret to the perfect shawarma, or kebab. Having firmly established themselves on the food scene, this is a one-off opportunity to sample the latest stage in their culinary evolution. Think mouthwatering plates of mezze and Greek classics with some added surprises. Like beetroot barani, lamb kofta or (deliberately) burnt aubergine. Or chopped hake kebabs, grilled shrimp and charred broccoli. And it’s all served on Studio Morison’s very own 27-metre long Seafood Disco picnic bench – the largest in London.

Pastaio Feast by Stevie Parle

Be one of the lucky ones. Grab your ticket to this one-off pasta extravaganza at the Turning Tides Festival. Stevie Parle’s acclaimed fresh pasta restaurant arrives on the London riverside serving up a proper Italian feast.


Seated together, outdoors on the largest picnic table in London, you’ll be one of just 60 people to enjoy a proper-fancy feasting menu. It all starts with three antipasti of Sardinian crisp bread and Pastaio olive oil, that Burrata and watermelon salad. You’ll then move onto a stunning new seafood pasta of paccheri mixed with mussels, clams and prawns. To finish? A classic Tiramisu with a twist. Served up on Studio Morison’s super-long, 27-metre picnic table with copious amounts of pre-batched cocktails, wines, and limoncello.

Matt Williamson's Seafood Feast

Really get your teeth into the Turning Tides Festival at Matt Williamson’s Seafood Feast. Tickets are limited for this one-off occasion, so be sure to book early to enjoy a menu featuring foods sourced from British waters.


Matt Williamson is renowned as an ingenious chef who uses ingredients quite unlike anyone else. So join Matt and a few other lucky diners at Studio Morison’s 27-metre picnic table and enjoy an immersive experience right beside the river. The menu begins with British oysters. Followed by one of the true delicacies of the river estuary, delicately smoked eel. Whole sides of smoky river trout, grilled on a custom-built BBQ, are matched with rich herbs and earthy potatoes. And to finish, Carrageen pudding – delicious cream infused with rose petals.

A Picnic with Disappearing Dining Club

Disappearing Dining Club have been bringing people together for food, drink and music since 2010. Catch them as they take a day off from their brand-new pub, Dartmouth Arms, to host a one-off riverside picnic and BBQ at the Turning Tides Festival.


Self-described “Hi-Fi” foodies, Disappearing Dining Club have created a genuinely unique spread for their Turning Tides Festival feast. Each sitting is made up of four summertime courses. White Port & Tonic and canapés on arrival. A Picnic Basket filled with smoked salmon, potted meats, plants, breads and pickles. Grilled Pork Neck and Lobster Bernaise or Smoked & Salted Summer Beets from the BBQ. Then the chance to build your own DIY Eton Mess for dessert. All served on Studio Morison’s 27-metre picnic bench accompanied by beers, wines and seasonal cocktails. Plus music from their favourite ukulele band, The Fleas.
