The Clubhouse on The Tide. Free Entry. Greenwich Peninsula.
A sensory experience for curious ears.
Rush is now open at the Clubhouse on The Tide. Designed by LYN Atelier, tune into your senses and enjoy this immersive installation.
The river has long been a source of musical inspiration. And now you can create your own sounds right beside the Thames. At the Clubhouse on The Tide, Rush connects the urban environment and the natural flow of the river through an interactive experience.
This is a place for those seeking wellness. Somewhere you can relax with yoga sessions, meditation classes and gong baths. A sensory playground for the young and the young at heart.
As a completely immersive experience, you’re encouraged to meander along a path between 2,600 bamboo reeds suspended from the ceiling. The installation itself is inspired by the bulrushes found beside the River Thames. As you brush past them, the reeds jangle with a hollow echo.
The sounds you create are completely unique to that moment. As they disappear into the ether, they are replaced by another and then another. Layer upon layer of individual reverberations that are activated by movement.
Perfect for kids and a pleasure for adults, this is a hands-on experience that gets you a little closer to life beside the river.
