Canteen Food Hall & Bar is home to six mouth-watering street food kitchens serving global dishes. Sip on craft beer and hand-shaken cocktails from our bar in our fairy-light-filled venue or our sun-drenched courtyard.

NOW Gallery is a free public exhibition space for contemporary art, fashion, photography and design on Greenwich Peninsula. The gallery invites artists, designers and creatives spanning a breadth of career and backgrounds.

Bureau is the bustling heart of London's Design District — a place for eating and meeting. Open to all from 8am—6pm Monday to Friday. Extended opening hours on Thursdays and for our bi-monthly Supper Clubs.

Urban Village Fete Frequently Asked Questions

We can't wait to party with you on Sunday, 19 May for the 9th annual Urban Village Fete. To help you plan your day a little better, we've answered some commonly asked questions about the event. Take a look below!

There's easy access via the Jubilee line on the London Underground (Zone 2), bus, river boat or cable car, plus there's plenty of car parking and bike racks around the neighbourhood. Click here to see all the transportation options available.  

The InterContinental London - The O2, is located right on our doorstep with views of Greenwich Peninsula, The O2, and Canary Wharf. Book your room here. 

Whilst we encourage everyone to use public transport, we know it’s not always possible. The O2 offers over 2,000 parking spaces for non-event and hourly parking. There is also disabled parking at The O2 and electric vehicle chargers available at North Greenwich Tube Station car park. Find out more here.  

What are the accessibility options available?  

Our events are open to everyone, and that means accessibility is at the heart of our planning. If you’d like to find out anything or require special assistance, reach out to hello@greenwichpeninsula.co.uk and we will do our best to assist you.  It should be noted, the park is made up of uneven surfaces and grass.  

We encourage everyone to register for the event and to book onto workshops.  General admission is free and some of the workshops range in price.  Please follow the instructions on the individual event page to book in so you don’t miss out.  

The event is fully booked, how can I get a place? 

For all our in-person events, a waitlist will be available through Eventbrite. To join the waiting list, please follow the instructions on the individual event page. If a place becomes available, tickets will be allocated to those on the waiting list in the order that people joined. Please check with our team at hello@greenwichpeninsula.co.uk if you have any questions, we are always happy to help where we can. 

Please cancel your registration through Eventbrite so we have an accurate number of attendees.  It helps us keep everyone safe. Alternatively, you can reach out to hello@greenwichpeninsula.co.uk with your request.  

I booked the wrong session; can I change my booking? 

If you have booked the wrong session and there are spaces available on the session you would like, please feel free to rebook the correct session and contact hello@greenwichpeninsula.co.uk  to enquire about a refund (if the event has a fee).  If the session is free, please do cancel your booking on Eventbrite, as this enables someone else to enjoy it.   

I’ve booked an event with a time slot.  What happens if I miss my time slot? 

If you miss your allotted time and there is space in another session, we will endeavor to fit you into the next available slot.  Each event has a maximum capacity, so if there is no availability then unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate.  However, there are many free non-ticketed events taking place throughout the day for you to enjoy instead. 

All ages are welcome to the majority of our events. Where there is an age limit or restrictions it will be stated clearly on the event listing.  Please don’t be offended if staff ask for ID at one of these events, we do challenge 25, so if you're lucky enough to look under the age of 25, we might ask to see your ID. 

Yes, but every child under 14 must have an accompanying adult present with them, and a ticket must be booked for each person attending. 

As the talks/workshops have limited capacity.  This means everyone wanting to participate must register/purchase a ticket. 

We do not have a cloakroom facility available. We kindly request that you only bring a small bag that you can easily carry on your body. Please note that we cannot accommodate any luggage with wheels, large bags, sports equipment, folding bikes, or scooters.  

We have loads of great food stalls and plenty of bars you can make use of.  Do feel free to bring your own picnic though. We ask for people to not bring glass bottles and any own food & drinks should be recyclable where possible.  Please help us keep the Peninsula clean and dispose of your rubbish in the clearly marked bins across the Fete.  

You are welcome to bring your own chairs & blankets, however we ask that they do not get placed on the dance floors.  We want to allow people plenty of space to enjoy the music and dance freely. 

In the interest of safety for our attendees, the Urban Village Fete operates on a cash free basis. 

Given the size and scale of the event, unfortunately we aren’t able to accept any requests for phone charging. 

There are public toilets in NOW Gallery, Design District and in The o2. There will also be toilets signposted near Central Park. 

Our events will continue rain or shine! In the case of serious adverse weather, we will reach out ahead of time if any changes to programming need to be made, however we suggest checking the weather reports before the event to ensure you are prepared.  

There are a variety of options including Canteen Food Hall & Bar, a street food hub located in the heart of Design District. See the full list of food & drink here.  There will also be multiple food and beverage stalls, vans and bars inside Central Park. 

All of our outdoor events are dog friendly! All dogs need to be always kept on a leash, unless involved in an activation/workshop and it’s agreed to do otherwise. 

Whilst there is no set dress code, most of our events are taking place outdoors and like the rest of the UK, the weather can be unpredictable. Please make sure to dress appropriately for the weather, so you can make sure you’re comfortable - looking fabulous is also always welcomed.  

There is free public Wi-Fi across the Peninsula, simply look for ‘Greenwich Peninsula Wi-Fi’ on your mobile device when you get here. 

Is there somewhere I can fill my water bottle for free? 

There will be water refill points across the Fete, enabling you to fill your own water bottle.  You can find these highlighted on the Urban Village Fete map and they will be sign posted on the day 

Any lost children will be accompanied by an Event manager or one of the Security team to the first aid point, where they will be looked after until they are reunited with their responsible parent/carer.   

Any lost property that is found will be handed to either First aid or NOW Gallery on the day.  We do not have facilities to hold lost items for a long time, so anything not collected within 14 days will be donated to charity.
