This four-day Summer School is designed for intermediate photographers looking to sharpen their skills, refine their portfolio and build a stronger creative identity.

Level up your photography practice this summer. Led by industry pros Holly Falconer and Milo Van Giap, the course offers expert insight, practical sessions, and access to professional studio equipment in a supportive, collaborative environment.

What to expect with Milo Van Giap (Mon 23 + Fri 27)

– Sequencing and editing your portfolio

– Reviewing online visual identity

– Reframing your work for greater impact

What to expect with Holly Falconer (Tue 24 + Thu 26)

– Studio lighting and off-camera flash

– Advanced camera settings and lens choices

– Portrait work with a model

– Workflow with Capture One

By the end of the week, you’ll walk away with a refined, purpose-led portfolio, better control over studio technique and post-production as well as a clearer understanding of your photographic identity and creative direction.

Level: Intermediate — ideal for photographers looking to progress professionally or creatively.

Led by Holly Falconer – Portrait photographer celebrated for her vibrant work exploring subcultures and community. Clients include Channel 4, Whitechapel Gallery, and Refinery29. And Milo Van Giap – Photographer and DoP blending documentary, fashion, and social change. Known for analogue-meets-digital aesthetics and mentoring the next generation of creatives.

Good to know:

– Daily sessions run 10am–4pm (no session on Weds 25 June.)

– Includes use of professional studio kit

This workshop is perfect for beginners aged 16+, venue is accessible with lift access and WC. All profits support The Photography Foundation’s charitable programmes.
