Wycinanki: Polish Papercutting Workshop with Well Crafted
Get hands-on with Wycinanki (pronounced vee-chee-nan-kee)—a joyful Polish folk art that transforms colourful paper into beautifully intricate, symmetrical designs.
Think florals, chickens, and rural scenes—all cut by hand using simple scissors and plenty of imagination.
In this relaxed session, you’ll learn about the history behind the craft, the tools and techniques used, and why so much of it is inspired by nature. Then, you’ll create your own piece to take home and frame.
Led by Alexandra Lunn, founder of Well–Crafted, who first learnt the art of wycinanki from her Babcia (Polish grandmother) and during her travels across rural Poland. Find out more about Well Crafted.
Suitable for all ages, please note all children must be accompanied by an adult.
