Yodomo Reuse and Repair Workshop - Kintsugi
Give ceramic pieces a new life through the technique of 'Kintsugi' with Yodomo and potter Ranjit Dhaliwal from Studio Ranj.
Yodomo is passionate about empowering people to get making. They redistribute waste from design industries and inspire a community of creators to turn these materials into unique and valuable products.
In this 2-hour workshop, Ranjit Dhaliwal, who specialises in alternative kiln firings and colourful tableware will demonstrate an easy version inspired by Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repair, perfect for anyone looking to repair much-loved pieces from their collection in a unique and beautiful way.
You’ll learn how to mend a broken vintage plate provided by Ranj with a mixture of resin and gold-coloured powder and give new life to ceramic pieces that would be otherwise destined for the bin.
You must be over 16 to take part in this workshop and all tools and materials will be provided.
