Celebrate the Year of the Horse

Lunar New Year arrives on the Peninsula - a vibrant Chinese New Year celebration filled with colour, culture and creativity. Expect live performances, workshops, DJs and flavours from across East and Southeast Asia, plus a special Henan heritage exhibition at Firepit Art Gallery & Studio.

Celebrate the Year of the Horse

21 February|12pm - 5pm

Performances

Don't miss the energy and vibrancy with a series of powerful live performances. From the spectacle of the Dragon and Lion Dances to all-day DJ sets, each moment brings rhythm, movement and celebration to the Peninsula.

Dragon Dance

A spectacular opening to the celebrations - and a must-see! The Dragon Dance brings colour, energy and good fortune to the Peninsula, with its rhythmic drums and sweeping movements symbolising strength, prosperity and the promise of a bright year ahead.

When: 3:00pm – 3:15pm; 4:15pm – 4:30pm

Lion Dance

A Chinese New Year favourite returns. The Lion Dance combines movement, percussion and acrobatics in a powerful display of celebration. Each lion embodies good fortune and protection - a vibrant symbol of strength, unity and celebration.

When: 2:30pm – 2:45pm; 3:30pm – 4:00pm

LOOSE.fm DJs

Our friends at LOOSE.fm bring the beats with DJ sets running from day to night. Expect an eclectic mix of contemporary sounds and global rhythms, setting the soundtrack for the celebrations as we welcome the Year of the Horse.

The Splendours of Henan Exhibition

Firepit Art Gallery & Studio presents a special exhibition for the Year of the Horse, celebrating the artistry and traditions of China’s Henan province. Showcasing ancient craft techniques, textiles and contemporary interpretations, the exhibition bridges heritage and innovation - an inspiring reflection of cultural exchange and creativity.

The Eternal Market

Back by popular demand, Eastern Margins returns with a curated market of East and Southeast Asian food, arts & crafts, and community traders. Discover independent makers, artists and designers showcasing handcrafted pieces, prints, ceramics and one-of-a-kind finds.

Food Trail

Take your tastebuds on a journey across the Peninsula and discover exclusive dishes, tasting plates and one-day-only offers from favourite restaurants and cafés joining the celebrations. 

Our neighbourhood favourites are joining the celebrations with limited-edition dishes and special offers inspired by the occasion.  Head to Canteen Food Hall & Bar for global flavours from independent kitchens, stop by Kiki & Miu Miu for Asian groceries, baked treats and bubble tea, and visit Cakes & Layers for indulgent pastries and French-inspired desserts.  Explore the wider line-up of cafés, bars and restaurants — from Eat Fan’s bold pan-Asian plates to The Dial’s local craft beer plus two for one cocktails on the day and Caspino’s Mediterranean favourites.
